Hunterian Poems

Delighted to have a poem (first published in a while...) in the forthcoming third volume of The Hunterian Poems, edited by Alan Riach and responding to objects and artworks in the collections of the Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow. My poem is titled 'E.1., or Queen Mother' and takes off from an encounter with a Fante drum from what's now Ghana – called 'E.1.' as it became the first ethnography object to enter the Hunterian's collections in 1860. The collection will be published in September 2024.
